Every Girl's Story

How many times have you experience sexual harassment? How much do you actually understand what sexual harassment means? It comes in many shape and sizes. Which one are you?

I've experience many since I came here in peninsular Malaysia. I'm not going to hide facts nor do I want to say the people here are !@#$%^&*(), its just that they're braver. Brave enough to do something publicly, brave enough to turn their head against all the consequences they might face and brave enough to !@#$%^&*()_+etc. (speechless)

I don't have the guts to say hey you a**hole or get angry or slap someone on the face spontaneously especially someone I look up too (not as an Idol, but someone older). Its not nice. Unless there's something or someone provoking me.

READ THIS
DEFINING SEXUAL HARASSMENT
"Sexual harassment means any unwelcome verbal, non-verbal, visual, psychological or physical
conduct of a sexual nature that might, on reasonable grounds, be perceived by the victim as
placing a condition of a sexual nature on his or her employment because of his or her sex.

Sexual harassment may also consist of an unwelcome verbal, non-verbal, psychological or
physical conduct of sexual nature that might, on reasonable grounds, be perceived by the victim as an insult or humiliation, or a threat to his or her well-being, and has no connection with his or her employment.

Sexual harassment in the office includes work related harassment which happens outside the
office. Such work related harassment may includes situations taking place at work-related social gathering or functions, conferences, workshop or training sessions and during work assignments outside the office.

Sexual harassment in the course of work-related travel is also considered sexual harassment in
the office. Where sexual harassment occurs as a result of employment responsibilities or
relationship over the phone and through electronic media, it is also considered sexual harassment in the office."
