Stroopwafels

Had myself some Stroopwafels today. Its a Dutch cookie. All the way from Amsterdam.
A gift from a nice tourist from Holland.
Its was very delicious indeed.

"If you've never had a stroopwafel, you're missing out on one of life's best guilty pleasures.
These addictive Dutch treats are made up of two thin waffle-cookie layers filled with sticky, sweet stroop (syrup).
They're so buttery you have to lick your fingers, but too delicious to stop there -- I've never known anyone to have just one."

My two (2) year old nephew (the one who's seriously afraid of the hairdryer) come over to our house almost everyday.
He would stand stood in front of my bedroom door just staring at me.
Sometimes, he would point me from afar and say "Atie" which in baby language means Aunty, then ran off.
His favourite words by far is "pas", translated from baby language, Kipas/Fan.
The next time I'd be back for the holidays, he would probably already be speaking fluently.
Ohh and FYI, my brother is teaching him to point on people and say "baboon" LMFAO.

Another photo of that delicious Stroopwafel.
The caramel syrup is dripping.
