It's true when they say, as you grow older, you will start looking at a different perspective in health.
I learned that the hard way. Probably not that hard but I
learned it quite late.
I went for a facial for the first time in my whole entire
life and I got the greatest lesson my entire life.
I'm a regular make up user. In fact, I use make up every day.
Just like any other girl though, I also take a minimum of 1-2 days off makeup
free face.
My life is hectic and keeping a disciplined skin care routine
is hard especially those days where I have to work 'till late night,
coming home tired and all you want to do is hit the sack.
Over time, I learnt to deal with it and kept going with my
skin care routine (which was advised by the lady who did facial on me).
I now have clearer, firmer, baby smooth skin. Let me go
through with you my night skin care routine.
#1 always, always remove your make up. Cleanser alone isn't
enough. Have been using In2it make-up remover cream, for face and eye area for 3 months now and I love it! Now, there are many types of makeup remover out there. I also own a milk cleanser just in case this one runs out. Find the one suitable
for your skin type. For me this was perfect! It's half empty and this was my 2nd
tube. There are milk cleanser, wipes and oil cleansers etc. Find what's best
for you. Make up remover is my new mantra.
#2 Cleanse. I have to admit it, I'm a big cleanser freak.
Last time I check, I bought two similar cleansers one for oily and one for
normal skin in the same range. I constantly have to remind myself and ask a
friend to remind me that I don't need any more cleanser. The verdict of having
different types of cleansers? I noticed how my skin changes on weather. It’s
like you have the 4 season here in Malaysia but only on your skin. During hot
days, I use oily/combination skin cleanser because my oil production tends to
over produce. On rainy season, I'd slab on hydrating/dry/normal cleanser
because my skin tends to dry out. My go-to as of this week (it's getting hot
here) is the Bioglo Nutri-Rich Oil Control Facial foam with Cinnamon
& Fruit Extracts. Google all that and you'll know why Cinnamon is good for
your skin.
#3 Tone. I don't feel complete without toning my face. I've
been using Eskinol Oil Control Facial Deep Cleanser for almost 1/2 year now. I
love this toner as it has antibacterial formula and helps control oil for up
to 8 hours. Being acne prone, a pharmacist friend of mine advise me to try this
last year and also told me to add Clindamycin in it. Clindamycin is an antibiotic
used to treat acne. Clindamycin and Benzoyl Peroxide is a good combination if
you're trying to clear your skin. You can request for Clindamycin at any
pharmacy/drugstore. They also have it in Gel formula. I love this. I've never
look back since. Recommended this to a friend and it helped her clear her skin! We all love how our skin looks great without make up.
#4 Serums. You can sell me anything but serums. Back in the
days, I've always dislike serums as it’s overly too oily and tends to smells
bad. Always, serums leave my skin feeling oily and yucky. But this one
particular serum had been my holy grail for almost two months now. I'd die if
they discontinue this. Bio-essence Radiant Youth Essence with ATP helps restore
tender radiant skin like Baby's. I can prove this claim is TRUE! It comes out
as oily but when you rub it on your skin, it instantly soaks into your skin
leaving a velvety feeling. So nice.
#5 Moisturize. I use a different moisturizer during the day.
I usually dislike using moisturizer at night as it leaves my skin feeling
greasy and often breaks me out in the morning. Neutrogena Hydro Boost Night Concentrate
is different. It does leave my skin feeling oily and heavy but waking up to it
is marvelous! Skin's feel hydrated and fresh after cleansing! This baby here
is my water in a jar. I always thought hydration is only for people with dry
skin, but I was wrong. Water and Oil are two different particles. Oil doesn't necessary
means your skin is hydrated.
#6 Scrub. If you have acne, avoid scrubs that have those
harsh beads in them. It'll leave your skin feeling irritated and scared. The
only reason why you need scrubs is to remove dead cells on your skin. You can find Gel
based product that does the same without irritating your skin. I use Ginvera
Green Tea Whitening Marvel Gel. At times I'd also use my Garnier Pure 3 in 1
that acts as cleanser, scrub and mask. I prefer using the Garnier at night. Always be advice not to expose your skin directly to sunlight after
doing scrubs. If you want to do so, slab on some sunscreen.
#7 Speaking of Masks, I have few of my favorite. This
Garnier leaves my skin feeling fresh. I also love doing egg mask on myself. Add
lemon to your egg mask and it'll help tighten your pores. My all-time
favorite. Other than that, I'd be trying out new masks. My first time trying
this green tea from Guardian.
Take a good care of your skin. I once told myself that my
skin is alright but then I started noticing large pores and saggy eyes. At
certain point of time, you'd start noticing these tiny changes and when it
does, you'll wonder where it went wrong.
So, that's it. I have my whole make up collections to fill
my whole blog for the rest of the year but I'll just stop here and call it a
day. My internet connections having some awful down time. The verdict? More
time to arrange and blog offline.
Have a nice day!

Not necessarily la. You can use as regular toner juga. Clindamycin tu antibiotic kan so teda harm utk continue guna even kita xda jerawat, plus it helps to remove makeup residu. =)
